BEING SELFLESS IS STRENGTH

Image
We are living at a time, where being selfish is very fashionable. We are fed by this idea from all directions, that we are doing ourselves a great injustice if we are not selfish. But I think, that is not the way life should be. I wish some one had told me this during my youth and I would have made some better decisions in my life. If M.K.Gandhi would have been selfish and led his life as a lawyer, earning money and taking care of his family, then we would not be remembering him as Mahatma now. Barack Obama, after finishing his Harvard education, had a option to take up a comfortable job and live a life like any other person, or help poor black people with legal advice. CHANGE IS THE KEY Everyone wants their country to be the best. Being an Indian i also want the same. I want the best things to happen in our country. Image

I am talking about Amazing race, Survivor, Apprentice, Master Chef etc. I do not know how many of it are staged and how much of the emotions are real. But I have learnt a lot watching these game shows. Let me share few of my wisdom. 1. Focus on your winning, not making others loose This is one important lesson which I have learnt. I think it was the first season of Amazing race show and I was watching it without missing a single episode. Final leg of the race was played out between a couple from Queen's, New York and two friends. The destination they had to reach to win the race was Queen's. Since the couple knew the geography of the area inside out, their plan was to confuse the other two participants to take a wrong route and then they will take the correct route and win. But it did not happen that way, and finally they lost. If they had focused on their winning, rather than making th...
